HISTORY
Born in Amsterdam, Ismoyo started her creative journey at a young age. Discovering early on that all finished art and craft projects gave her an instant smile.
Her art history classes in high school inspired her even more. Drawing constantly, writing and making mixed media collages. There always was a 'current project' to work on.
Besides the high school classes, Ismoyo is mainly self taught as an illustrator/graphic designer. The same can be said about her knowledge of webdesign. At the age of eight her father put her behind a (very large!) computer and let her play around with it. The first steps programming in MS-Dos were made. From then on she kept learning new programs and programming languages to transform her ideas as visuals on the screen and printed on paper.
During the summer of 2005 she got her first sewing machine, and with the genes handed down from her mother, a talented designer, she added sewing to her creative adventures.
Two years later she made the move overseas to the creative city of New York. Where everyday is an adventure!
Like a true Gemini she can't just pick one thing, she loves to do so much and there's still a lot on her to-learn list. |
