Her friends from her teenage years still jokingly remind her about all the times Issey used to tell them "Don't throw that away, it might be worth something later!". Everything that looked anything close to a collectible would be closely inspected by Ismoyo.
She moved from Amsterdam to New York in the summer of 2007. She lives together with her loving husband and everyday is an adventure!
Being a crafty girl, ismoyo jumped to the opportunity when a UK publisher contacted her to write a crafting how-to book.
In 2008 her first craft book was published in the UK, US and Canada. 100 Applique Motifs has currently been translated in Italian, Dutch, German and Spanish.
Ismoyo's life today is filled with vintage treasures. Dreaming of a huge loft with ample space to display all her great finds. But since space is scarce in NY, what else to do than to share all those vintage finds? Her personal collection here on the website, and all that doesn't fit on the shelves of her studio or living room, go into the shop to find new loving homes.
Having built her vintage shop as an Etsy Top Seller, the urge to create never went away. In 2012 a handmade line of modern resin crafts with a vintage feel called Retro Resin was added succesfully to the shop.
