Crochet Shelf Runner

Knick knacks on the kitchen shelf (1977).

I adore this! The photo itself, with the grouping of blue/turquoise items (something i'm doing lately too, group items by color; very pretty!) and that crocheted shelf runner, i love!
The book includes the pattern, so i started reading very excitedly. But oops. Really. Out of my league. I know some crochet, a couple of stitches, i'm a quick learner too. But this work description... not for me. I wish! All my shelves would have gotten crochet edges!
