Murry Murry and the Misses
I found these cuties hanging around deep in Chinatown. Too cute not to take home right? My friend named the green one Murry Murry (which sounds like the cutified version of my friend's name) and i then named the pink one Misses Murry Murry.
Any one know these characters? I usually know which kawaii brands releases which characters, but these i had not seen before. There is no brand on them, so they are either from a very small company, or they are bootlegs. Either way, i love them, wish i had designed them myself!

hi hi =) I don't think I've commented before, but I've been admiring from afar =) =)
Those little cuties (or rather the green one only) is a character from a Chinese (Mandarin) movie. The pink one doesn't appear at all in the movie. I think it was manufactured because it looks so sweet in pink.=)
The movie is absolutely fabulous. The main actor is a very famous Chinese actor and the movie was made popular at least 2 years back. At that time of its release, there were many items sold featuring that character - keychains, soft toys, notepads, you name it - they have it!
The movie is called :CJ 7
which is also the name of that green alien (yes, it is not from earth).

oh, and that little boy you see in the pictures? well, she's a girl =). she plays such a convincing boy in the movie!

They're from my FAVORITE movie, CJ7(and the green one is named CJ7). It's a movie about a proverty family of a boy(who's mother died) who's dad finds what he thinks is a toy ball, and brings it home to his son. And every time the father isn't looking, the alien turns back into regular form instead of a ball. The boy got into a LOT of trouble with his dad for saying, what the father thinks is lies, about what CJ7 was doing, and the father beats his kid and locks him in the closet overnight. While the kid is sleeping, he dreamed that the alien did so much fantastic things for the kid, and then he woke up and found out it never happened, so the kid takes CJ7 to school, and trying to get the CJ7 to do the things he did in his dream, but fails trying, and the kid gets frusterated and tries to kill the alien and stuffs him in the trash. The kid then comes back for CJ7, feeling sorry, and becomes it's best friend. Then the kid's dad died while working at his construction site, and durring the night, CJ7 sneaks into the hospital and uses nearly all the energy in his body to revive the boy's father. The next morning, the kid's father returns home, making the kid litterally the happiest person in the entire world. The kid knew CJ7 did it. Since CJ7 did not have enough energy in his body, he dies just a few minutes later, his body shribbled up and looked like a plushie, and the kid, from that day on, feeling like he owed something to the alien, wore him around his neck. A while later, while him and his dad and all his friends and classmates were in a beautiful park, a space ship from the planet that CJ7 was from, lands across the bridge from them, and then MILLIONS of aliens looking like CJ7 in all different colors(my favorite was the one with the little pink bow... <3 ), come running into the park! Making it a HAPPY ending! :D
@Lyn: You are WRONG. The pink one DID appear in the movie! At the end, it did!
