Washcloth cupcakes

I had a couple of colorful washcloths around and a little bit of spare time. (=time that i wasn't feeling like spending on things from my todo list)
Add a bit of trim, some beads and other embellishments and tada: Washcloth cupcakes!
These would make a perfect baby shower gift i think. Would these sell on Etsy? Hm. I think i should do some research. I bet i'm not the first one to make these. But who knows, we'll see. Do share you're thoughts!

Being a parent, I would say that I liked practical baby gifts, but presentation definitely counts. If you made the cupacakes from baby washcloths and used something for embellishments (tiny barettes for baby girls??) or the use of multiple washcloths in different colors to pile your "icing" high on the cupcake. There is beauty in simplicity. Washcloths and a simple grosgrain ribbon... I could see purchasing these for a friend or relative.

I love getting your feedback!
It's like my blog visitors are my test panel in a way.

Handmade girl, not sure if i understand you totally, do you or don't you like my washcloth cupcakes as they are now? I understand that they are simple, like you, i see beauty in simplicity, but i do like to add a bit of embellishments. I made them from two different colored washcloths.

If i would decide to make a couple more and sell them, they wouldn't get super high pricetags, enough to cover my expenses of course, but definitely low enough for it to be a nice gift for someone.
