Collage Sunday #17-20
I've been slacking a little bit on my collage journal posts. Please excuse me. I'm on track again, here are page numbers 17 to 20 for you to enjoy!
After Dark. Even though something is not totally right or complete in the zebra/silver 'after' tag area, i do really like how this page came out. It started with the photo of the black sofabed and silver shoes in front. Somebody just left. The silver tag with the word 'after' followed soon. The rest is just a composition of black and white toned images. The illustration of the girl comes from an old Tina month magazine and translates into "Please, Palomo, i hope you won't get hurt." Very dramatical. Like the page.
Bright and cheery. No story. Or at least not one that i had in my mind when i made it. Just a collage of bright colors and shapes. I love the duck with the 'life's a celebration' text. And ofcourse the My Little Pony. Who had one back in the day? Raise of hands.
Me!
Always Green. Maybe my favorite page. Love everything about it. The brown colortone, the compostition, the collection of deers, the pretty vintage image, the copper flat empire state building made from a real penny, the pattern on top and most of all, save the best for last, the photograph on the right page. It is a picture of my hubby years ago, before we met when he was living in Hawaii. I think the photo is gorgeous (and him of course!). Altijd Groen translates into Always Green. Which is the last name he gave me when we married. So always baby. Love.
It's magic. Well. Not really. Not my favorite page. What a contradiction to the former one. Some pages start with a certain image and then no other scraps or images come to me that fit perfectly. This is what happens then. Feels so random. The paper in the background of the left page is pretty. The image from the japanese cookie box is cute, the windmill from a chocolate candy bar reminds me of my birth country, but the combination doesn't do anything for me. Sorry.
