Fabric from my mothercountry

Not the country i'm born, but actually where my mom's born. Indonesia. One of my sweet homegirls got me this gorgeous fabric on her last trip over there, brought it back with her to Amsterdam and sent it with my parents here to New York. Travelled the world to get to me and i LOVE it.

I do think this batik fabric is too pretty to cut up and use in my creative projects. So i think i'll leave it as is, keep it for when me and Love get a new apartment (one where we'll hopefully stay awhile). I'm sure i'll find a decorative way to use it. Or maybe i'll make some pillows from it. But that would mean cutting. Well, not sure yet.

Oh that's beautiful! I wouldn't be able to resist cutting it up and making something out of it.
