My past weekend
Friday evening: If my eyes would be better i would be able to see over the crowd of people and recognize my brother on the opposite balcony in between the rest of the artists. Location: Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, Event: TMF Music Awards. Visitors: a whole lot, plus me and my mom. My brother was the opening act with his award show anthem song. (for those who will actually watch the video, my bro is the one next to the dj)
My mom and i were so proud! He also did another performance somewhere in the middle of the show (he even had a brand new car that flew around the air over the crowd!!! it was crazy!) plus he was nominated for an award. Didn't get it though. But did get to go on stage too since the person who did take home the award is a friend plus my brother produced some of his songs, so he earned that award anyway. The winner took him and his dj with him to the stage to pick up the award. My mom did get to see her son on the award stage. We had a great time!
**Edit: Thanks to YouTube, i found a video of the other performance my brother did too. The one with the flying car...
Saturday afternoon: One of my best friends just recently moved to Amsterdam and moved in this great apartment on IJburg, a new area in Amsterdam. There is a long tradition of construction on water over here. In the past extensive parts of the water around the city was filled in for development of the city, leading to creation of harbor islands. The islands in the eastern harbor district have now all been transformed into residential areas.
I felt so dumb not to have brought my camera! Because there was a freedom in building the houses, there are so many creative apartments, so many different colorful buildings. Great architecture. Next time I'll make some photos! We had a lovely time, walking outside, chatting, looking at the buildings and the nature around it, and talking about how to decorate her apartment.
Sunday morning: Who are all those people running through my street?! were my thoughts when i looked out of my window... They're on both sides of the street!
When i realized it was the Amsterdam marathon i got comfy sitting in my open window, lazy in my sweat pants too, just like lots of people who were running, got myself a cup of coffee and enjoyed the show. I must say, when everyone passed (22.000 marathon contestants) it almost felt like i had a workout myself!

Fantastic! I just watched through the opening act and it must be so amazing to see him there on stage and such an honour to be placed as the opening song too. Didn't he get you all front row seats? :)
Sounds like you had a great weekend, now I know where you get your weekend 'love' list from, can't wait to see some pictures of your friend's apartment.
It's gonna be purple!!! That is the color of the walls :) Let's meet next week and be creative in the IJburg residence! Much luv.xx.
Good choice! The deep purple we were talking 'bout?
