I think it must take them forever to get ready to go out.
Hihi.. i hadn't even thought about that yet!
haha. thats so kool! I love japanese style clothing. I dont mean the traditional Kimonos. Ya know like Gwen Stefanis Harojuko Girls!
um... it's called Decora D=
Actually, it can be known as both 'decora' and 'decorer'. Just like the band 'An Cafe' is sometimes wrongly refered to as 'Antic Cafe' or 'Antique Cafe', they all refer to the same thing. But yes, you are right though. Decora is the proper title for this style. But I'm just saying that it can also be called decorer. ♥
I absolutely love it I bet you that in a couple of years your gonna start seeing more of this. I see this as an inspiration. Ohh mighty hirajuku girls thank you Gwen!
Just for clarification, its not Harojuko or Hirajuku. It's Harajuku, and Gwen's take on Harajuku Tokyo, Japan isn't very accurate. Harajuku is the epicenter of Tokyo's youth fashions, contrasting from Shibuya, which is the other shopping district that you'd generally find Western clothing lines like Dolce and Gabanna or Prada, ect. Personally I don't like Gwen Stefani's "harajuku" fashions, as it does not mirror the youth of Japan well, and quite frankly, IS NOT fashion forward, but just a mix of what could be stylish fashions into something haphazardly thrown together.
And if decora ever does catch on, I pray that it is done well, and tastefully.
ahem.. decora
I am Korean girl and actually decora myself. This fashion is called decora, and the ones who wear those is also called decora. Umm.. it is true that it takes kind of long time to get ready to go out :) People keep staring at me but I don't care. Sometimes I just do semi-decora which just kind of mix decora style on your usual cloth. It looks real stylish then. Maybe you can try!
Out here where I live, people are NOT accepting of the many j-fashion styles at all. I don't dress in a particular one, I prefer to vary between a few(gothic lolita, punk lolita, decora, etc). It's possible when you have enough clothes. It does take a while to get ready. I honestly doubt that it'll become popular in North America very quickly. There's alot of us, but there's way more who hate it. So my very few j-fashion friends and I will simply continue defying the fashion magazines for years to come.
