Bags that make me feel like it's Springtime!
I'm getting enough of the winter weather and all the snow. I'm in need of a quick spring fix: Colorful bags!Working with these bright colors really makes me happier. And it keeps me busy so I won't see the coldness outside..
I made 3 shoulderbags and 1 handbag.
Spring bag 1 has the pink and green front and I've sewn a see-through pouch on it and put a hard plastic ornament inside. This can be taken out and for instance replaced by a personal picture or something.
On the inside of the bag I've used some green fabric and velcro to make a divider, so you have two compartments.
The two pink press studs keep the bag closed on the top.

The second spring bag has a lot of large dots which remind me of the first spring flowers blooming. The blue pendant is a small heart. Why? Because I LOVE the first springflowers!
This bag doesn't have a divider, but I did put a small side compartment inside.
The third shoulderbag has a similar print as the first, just different colors. Inside it has two small compartments.
I turned the final one into a handbag. But the straps are just long enough to be able to wear around your shoulder too.
Just like the first shoulderbag, this one has a see through front compartment with an ornament inside of it. HAPPY! Because that was what I was when I've finished all these bags!

Geez you have been a busy girl lately! Loving everything you have done, how fantastic are these bags!! I Love, love, love them, I also love the start of your quilt from the post before. I am really appreciating quilts now, although I've only done one block, lol.
I really love the fabrics you've used, especially the square with the clouds...the square format is really great and easy! Can't wait to see what it ends up like :)

I can definitely understand how these bags would make you feel happier. They look really fun! What sort of fabric did you use? The shine to it made me think oilcloth or vinyl, but I wasn't sure.
Thanks for the link to my blog by the way! I've linked you back as well. :)
Meshell, i'm as busy as i can, trying to be as productive as possible! Thanks for the compliments.
About the quilt, i'm hoping to have it finished for next year's cold! I know it will take forever to finish... just taking it one piece at a time.
The cloud-square is just pink felt with white clouds which i sewed on. Real easy to add something to look at.
Valerie, Thanks for the linkswap!
The springbags are made from a vinyl fabric. They started out as placemats i've bought (already planning to cut them up!). I just love the bright colors on them.
